To enhance security via CIMB THAI Digital Banking, CIMB Thai introduces the facial recognition in the application, as part of Bank of Thailand's strategy to protect consumers from cyber-risks, in the following ways. Effective from June 16, 2023 onwards.

 

A. Transfer to others via account number, PromptPay or QR code for these conditions;  

     a transaction of 50,000 baht or more

     a transaction which pushes the daily accumulated transfer amount to reach 200,000 baht.

  

B.   Increase the daily transfer or payment limit in the application.

       Invite customers bring national ID and take a photo to update information at CIMB Thai branches nationwide from today onwards.

 

         Customers who use the service via the CIMB THAI Digital Banking application will receive notification of their access via email, while customers can subscribe to the “SMS Alert” service to receive notifications of various transactions (charges apply 20 baht/account/month). The bank does not send links via SMS and email, and does not charge fees for opening accounts or applying for various bank loans.

 

          In case of CIMB Thai customers being deceived by fraudsters, can report the matter at report@cimbthai.com , or Care Center number 02 626 7777 press 00 24 hours a day.
