CIMB Junior Golf Development Project is another regional sports-related project under the operations of CIMB Foundation. The project has been continuously held since 2010 and has supported around 50 junior golfers across Thailand so far.

Activity Timeline

 

2013-2014:   CIMB Foundation held a three-week program (including a ten-day training camp and two junior tournaments) in San Diego, United States in preparation for the San Diego Junior Masters and Callaway Junior World Golf Championships Tournament. The junior golfers who participated in the program were:

 

  • 2013: Puwit Anupansuebsai, Pajaree Annanarukarn, Danthai Boonma
  • 2014: Puwit Anupansuebsai, Virunpat Olankitkunchai

2011-2012: Held six two-week training camps in Kanchanaburi Province and Bangkok.

 

2010: Collaborated with PGA Tour Academy to bring the top-ranking junior golfers to experience a real PGA Tour experience at TPC Sawgrass, where they were exposed to various divisions within the golf industry, e.g. TPC facilities, broadcasting division, training facilities, etc. The junior golfers who participated in the program were: 

 

  • 2010: Danthai Boonma and Viranpat Olankitkunchai
  • 2011: Puwit Anupansuebsai and Benyapa Niphatsophon
