Flood Crisis in 2011-2012

 

During the flood crisis of 2011-2012, CIMB Thai Bank took part in helping flood victims with a budget of 3 million baht by distributing relief packages and drinking water to 1,400 households in Nakhonsawan, Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Chainat, Lopburi, and Bangkok, as well as donating a 25-seat engine boat to the 2nd Special Combat Department at King Narai the Great Camp, Lopburi Province to help evacuate victims in remote areas. Aiming to provide quick rehabilitation and substantial support, CIMB Thai Bank also joined hands with Thai Bankers' Association and Thai Listed Companies Association to help flood victims and collaborated with Habitat for Humanity Thailand to raise funds from its staff and partners and donated them to those who were affected by the disaster.

 

  • Made a donation to Maharaj Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima Province
  • Distributed fiberglass boats,  drinking water, blankets and relief packages to the communities in Bang Barn District and Baan Roon Sub-district, Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya Province
  • Made a donation to the flood victim donation center at Prince of Songkhla University, Songkhla Province; provided mobile medical services which offered a full-range medical examination for victims in the severely affected areas such as Sa-ting Pra District, Singha Nakhon District, Na Mom District, etc.
  • Made a donation of money and services to Thai broadcasting channels, e.g. Channel 3 and MCOT
