Boon Tonkla Mangrove Reforestation Project

Since mangrove forests are important to coastal fisheries, and serve as nursing grounds for young aquatic animals as well as a learning center of the ecological system, over 200 “bold” volunteers from CIMB Thai Bank and its partners such as Pathumwan District Office and Rotary Club of Bangkok Suvarnabhumi gathered at Bang Pu Nature Education Center, Bang Pu Sub-district, Muang District, Samut Prakarn Province, to rehabilitate the mangrove forest together with a common environmental awareness.  With a donation from the "CIMB Thai Bank for ‘Boon Tonkla’ Mangrove Reforestation Project" account and generous effort from the volunteers, the mangrove forests are now filled with more than 3,000 young plants of cork tree and alba blume.
