Currently, Dato’ Abdul Rahman Ahmad is Director (Authorised Signatory) of CIMB Thai Bank PCL. He also assumes the positions as Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of CIMB Bank Berhad and CIMB Group Holdings Berhad. In addition, he is a Council Member of Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers and Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre (MIFC), Commissionaire of CIMB Niaga, and also Panel Member of Malaysia National Trust Fund.

 

Dato’ Abdul Rahman Ahmad assumed the positions of Group CEO and Executive Director of Media Prima Berhad during 2001-2009. From 2009 to 2016, he was Chief Executive Officer of Ekuiti Nasional Berhad, and from 2016 until 2019, he was President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Permodalan Nasional Berhad. Furthermore, he was Non-Independent Director and Non-Executive Chairman of Sime Darby Berhad and Velesto Energy Berhad during 2017-2020.
