Blood Donation Campaign
CIMB Thai Bank and the Thai Red Cross Society co-host a blood donation campaign called “100 baht from CIMB Thai for every blood unit”, which takes place once every quarter of the year. The blood donations are given to the Red Cross to support operations under the Thai Red Cross Society. CIMB Thai Bank’s staff, business firms, residents in Langsuan Road area and the Bank’s Facebook page subscribers are all invited to participate in this blood donation campaign. CIMB Thai Bank has succeeded in delivering more than 1,200 blood unit to the Thai Red Cross Society’s blood bank storage each year, and become one of the organizations that managed to collect the highest amount of donated blood among all the organizations that support blood donation campaigns in the private sector. CIMB Thai Bank has taken part in the Red Cross’s “Laeng Nee Mai Laeng Nam Jai Duay Karn Hai Lohit (Dry season’s never short of generosity from blood givers)” annual campaign during Songkran Holiday, a time of the year when blood is especially needed due to a number of injuries caused by traffic accidents. As the demand is high but the supply is short, CIMB Thai Bank has decided to encourage people to make a blood donation through the campaign in order to provide spare blood for storage. Apart from the mentioned campaigns, CIMB Thai Bank has also participated in “World Blood Donor Day,” which is an event that promotes the spirit of blood donation as a form of giving without expecting anything in return.
